Plot Summary:

Surya, an insurance agent for NLIC, struggles with anger issues, and as a child, his mother made him promise to express his anger only on Saturdays — the day she passed away. As an adult, he maintains this tradition, recording the wrongdoings of others in a journal and reflecting on them weekly to decide if they warrant action. His anger, however, estranges him from his family, particularly his sister Bhadra, and complicates his relationship with his cousin Kalyani (Kallu), who disappears to escape her abusive father.

Years later, Kallu, now going by the name Charulatha, returns as a police constable in Sokulapalem, a crime-ridden town under the harsh rule of Circle Inspector Dayanand "Daya." Daya holds a grudge against the local residents, punishing them arbitrarily as a way of asserting control. Meanwhile, Charulatha quietly assists the townspeople, earning their trust behind Daya's back.

When Surya encounters Daya abusing an elderly woman, he intervenes, catching Charulatha's attention. She soon realizes that Surya is the mysterious vigilante striking on Saturdays and warns him that Daya may also become a target. As they grow closer, Surya struggles with the implications of revealing his secret identity.

As tensions rise, Daya plots to assassinate his rival Koormanand, leading Surya to orchestrate events so the confrontation falls on a Saturday. The climax sees Surya racing against time to protect both his family and the residents of Sokulapalem, ultimately resolving his long-standing feud with Bhadra and vowing to change his violent ways. However, Daya, still unaware of Surya's dual identity, remains obsessed with finding the "Saturday vigilante," as the people of Sokulapalem continue to wonder who will bring Daya to justice.

Surya devises a plan to throw Daya off his trail by pretending to be attacked. He files a complaint at the Sokulapalem police station, claiming that the notorious Saturday vigilante assaulted him. Meanwhile, Daya, having earned Koormanand’s trust after seemingly protecting him at the pub, is also hunting down the elusive vigilante, believing him to be a potential assassin.

Daya befriends Surya and continually suggests suspects from the local community, hoping to identify the culprit. Despite Surya’s consistent denials, Daya and Koormanand intensify their reign of terror, targeting the people of Sokulapalem and ordering them to bring back any residents who have migrated, all within two days.

In response, the Sokulapalem residents band together, vowing to protect the Saturday vigilante from Daya’s wrath. This show of solidarity strengthens Surya’s resolve, reassuring him that the community is capable of standing up to Daya without relying on his intervention.
